This is a really pretty little cabinet featuring a beautiful floral design that Nell has hand drawn, carved and painted in blues, rusts and pinks. The Wonderland Collection is inspired by the wooded valleys that surrounded me in my previous home. Techniques not dissimilar to sgraffito and intaglio, normally used with clay, are used to carve and incise onto Valchromat. 

This particular cabinet uses one of two techniques where I draw the design by hand, carve it using different marks, and then paint the gouges. 

The hand drawn imaginary trees and plants are repeated over the panels to create a balanced, harmonious design.

Valchromat, a composite material made primarily of waste wood comes in several colours, allowing me to play with almost limitless colour and design possibilities. 

Wonderland Cabinets can be made in any size with a bespoke colour scheme.
