This is a really pretty little cabinet featuring a beautiful folksy floral design that Nell has hand drawn, carved and painted in blues, rusts and pinks. The Wonderland Collection is inspired by the wooded valleys that surrounded Nell in her previous home. Nell uses techniques not dissimilar to sgraffito and intaglio, normally used with clay, to carve and incise onto her favoured material Valchromat. 

This particular cabinet uses one of two techniques where Nell draws the design by hand, carves it using different marks, and then paints the gouges. She replaces the CNC router used in her other collections with a hand held carving tool. 

Her hand drawn imaginary trees and plants are repeated over the panels to create a balanced, harmonious design.

Valchromat, a composite material made primarily of waste wood comes in several colours, allowing Nell to play with almost limitless colour and design possibilities. 

Wonderland Cabinets can be made in any size with a bespoke colour scheme.
